A Journey from Learners to Leaders

Every step of the IFA journey is designed to build deeper understanding and stronger problem-solving skills, from grasping the basics of finance to pitching your own business plan to investors.

The Foundation Series

Build the fundamentals. Think critically. Connect finance with the real world.

Focused teen girl studying finance online with notebook and laptop.

The Foundation Series introduces students to the building blocks of finance and business. Through practical lessons and case-based analysis, learners explore how money works - from financial statements, budgeting, and economics to fintech and risk management.

Each semester combines concept mastery with business application, ensuring students can interpret data, evaluate business performance, and understand global markets.

They’ll Master

Financial Statement Analysis

Students learn how to read and interpret income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to understand how businesses measure performance. They also explore financial ratios and trend analysis, helping them see how numbers tell the story of a company’s growth and challenges.

Quantitative Thinking

This segment builds numerical confidence. Students practice applying probability, interest rate calculations, and risk-return concepts to make sound financial decisions. They’ll understand the time value of money and how data drives smarter choices in both business and personal finance.

Economics in Action

Students explore the forces that move markets — from demand and supply to government policy and competition. Real-world examples make economics relatable, showing how global events and decisions influence daily life, business operations, and investment trends.

Risk Management & Fintech

Learners are introduced to the modern world of digital finance — including payment systems, cryptocurrencies, and fintech innovations. They also understand how risk is identified and mitigated in today’s global economy, blending traditional financial logic with new-age technology.

By the end of the Foundation Series, students will be able to analyze financial data with confidence, understand the logic behind economic decisions, and begin thinking like young strategists who see how finance connects to the real world.

Through interactive workshops and case-based assessments, learners also apply design thinking and market analysis to build investor-ready pitch decks.

They’ll Master

Equity Valuations & DCF Models

Students learn how professionals determine what a company is truly worth. Through practical exercises, they explore discounted cash flow (DCF) and dividend discount models (DDM), understanding how investors evaluate companies and forecast future performance.

Corporate Debt & Capital Structures

This segment demystifies how companies borrow, manage leverage, and structure their finances for stability and growth. Students will study different types of debt instruments, cost of capital, and the role debt plays in corporate and government finance.

Investment Planning & Asset Allocation

Learners develop the mindset of a portfolio manager. They explore various investment avenues such as equities, bonds, and mutual funds, learning how to balance risk and return based on goals, time horizons, and market conditions.

Private Equity & Alternative Investments

Students are introduced to the exciting world of venture capital, private equity, and other alternative assets. They understand how investors identify high-growth opportunities, assess risks, and support startups or established businesses through funding and strategy.

This stage emphasises critical reasoning, analytical rigour, and entrepreneurial problem-solving, culminating in live case presentations and pitch-building sessions aligned with competitions like SAGE Globals and GYEC.

The Intensive Series

Synthesise. Execute. Lead.

Teen group discussing business ideas during finance workshop with projector.

The Intensive Series is IFA’s capstone program — a Junior MBA–equivalent experience where students merge everything they’ve learned into actionable business plans. Over four semesters, they design financial models, assess business feasibility, and pitch their ventures to investors.

Under mentorship from finance professionals and entrepreneurs, students master storytelling, analytical thinking, and strategic execution - transforming from learners into confident leaders.

They’ll Master

Building Business Models & Financial Projections

Students learn how to design a complete business model from scratch — identifying revenue streams, cost structures, and profit mechanisms. They apply financial modelling to forecast performance, assess viability, and ensure that their ideas are not only creative but financially sound. By the end, they can translate an idea into a structured business framework that investors can understand and trust.

Market Feasibility & Competitive Analysis

Here, learners move from “Can we build it?” to “Should we build it?” They study how to analyse industries, spot market gaps, and evaluate customer needs using tools like SWOT, PESTEL, and competitor mapping. This segment helps them test assumptions and refine their strategies, ensuring that every business plan is grounded in real-world data and opportunity.

Storytelling for Investors & Pitch Deck Design

Students discover how to communicate their ideas with clarity and conviction. They learn the art of structuring an investor pitch — crafting a strong narrative that combines data, purpose, and vision. From slide design to delivery skills, they build the confidence to stand before an audience and tell a compelling business story that resonates with investors and partners.

Final Capstone: Presenting to Real Investors

The culmination of the IFA journey. Students bring together their financial, analytical, and communication skills to present their final business plans to real investors and professionals. They receive constructive feedback, refine their proposals, and experience the excitement of pitching in a professional environment — mirroring what happens in startup accelerators and venture capital forums.

Guided by entrepreneurs, investors, and finance professionals, students gain not only the technical skills but also the confidence to lead, present, and execute their vision.

Graduates of the Intensive Series emerge as investment-ready thinkers - equipped to enter global business competitions, top university programs, or their own entrepreneurial ventures.
