About the Championship

The Genius Olympiad is a global high-school competition focused on environmental innovation across research, creativity, and entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship discipline challenges students to design market-ready ventures that address real sustainability problems, combining environmental impact with strong business thinking.

Eligibility

  • High-school students aged 14–18

  • Individual or team participation

  • Teacher supervision typically required

Competition Format

  • Written project (4–10 page business plan/report)

  • Supporting deliverables (prototype evidence, design mock-ups, slides, or short video)

  • Finalists present live with Q&A before international judges

Finals Experience

  • Selected finalists (approx. 400–500 across disciplines) attend an in-person finals week at Rochester Institute of Technology

  • Presentations, feedback sessions, networking, and collaborative learning
