About Championship
The Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) World Cup is an international youth business contest. High-school teams (typically 3+ members, ages 13–19) first compete locally/nationally; the top two teams from each country advance to the SAGE World Cup. This annual global event (2025 host: Georgia) brings young entrepreneurs to pitch real businesses on an international stage. Competitors are judged on business model, social impact, innovation and sustainability. Winners earn the title of “world’s top student enterprise” and various prizes. Over 12,000 students from 25+ countries have participated, with expert judges and mentors involved. Learn more via the official SAGE Global site.
Eligibility: High-school students (13–19 years) globally. Teams of at least 3, representing a country. Schools/teachers must sponsor teams.
Format: Multi-stage: local clubs → national contests → SAGE World Cup. Finalists (top 2 per country) meet at the annual World Cup event (each year in a new host country). All materials (annual report, presentations) must align with SDGs.
Tentative Dates: Varies by country. The SAGE World Cup finals is held each year (2025 in Georgia; 2026 location TBD). National qualifying rounds are ongoing.
Prizes: Global recognition, trophies and certificates. (All finalist teams receive feedback and awards; winning teams’ projects often launch further.)
Facts: Founded 2002, SAGE spans 30+ countries. 2023 had thousands of young changemakers; judges include business leaders and academics. The competition emphasises real impact – a prestige platform in teen entrepreneurship.
